Freeport Show 2012

Haven't been there in a few years so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I had a great time. Not really all that much to look at because it's a small show but its well run and I really met some very nice people. No one tried to push any of their wares on me but everyone was friendly and took the time to chat. Made a few small purchases(plugs and pliers) and left feeling very satisfied. Highly recommended and it's for a great cause. Check it out.

It was fun. I took Lorry Mangan - I'm her chauffeur the past couple of years - and we heard Al Goldberg lecture on fluke jigging. Paid my LIBBA dues, found two Beachmaster Danny plugs at Paulie's booth and bought them both (Ha! gotcha!) and then dropped some more money at Trophy Tackle on the way home.

Al Goldberg had the usual pretty rods, mostly in a spiral wrap, at his booth. There was one rod that was drop-dead spectacular in his collection; notes on that rod in the Rod Building Forum.
