9mm Ammo

Finally found an ammo that my Glocks will not chew up and spit out. WOLF. Went today and had several live round jams. Apparently, the OD was not consistent. Actually had to put the barrel of the 19 in a vise and with vise grips remove a round from the barrel. Major pucker factor. Had several casings not eject.

First time for everything, but no mor Wolf ammo for me. Anyone else ever have problems with any other brand like this?

You know the hones that we used to use on brake & slave cylinders, the kind that we put in a drill?

Hone out the barrel, then everything will fit.

I always read that Glocks suck at taking anything but good ammo? No reloads, ect? Not sure how true that is though. I thought Wolf was fairly crappy ammo though? I shoot a lot of Blazer in my M&P. Cheap and runs through fine. Not sure if the Glock would like it though.

Vise, vise grips and live round:scared: I've never used the Wolf but the reviews aren't great.. I get Speer 40 and 9mm online for cheap. Great ammo.

JUNK! the only gun I would shoot Wolf would be a cheap AK or other POS that you don't care about. personally I've never used it but have read a bunch of negative comments. just recently a guy had a problem (forgot with what gun, think it was a Ruger) something major broke in the gun,he contacts customer support reports the problem. They inform him you just voided your warranty by shooting steel cased ammo. case closed

Russian steel cased ammo is digested by AK-47's without a hiccup. For most other guns, you shoot on the cheap, and you get what you pay for. Why gum up a perfectly good Glock with POS Russkie ammo?

I wouldn't shoot Russian ammo out of my guns if it was given to me for free. :squid:

I run Wolf through my XD 45, never had any problems. It is a cheap alternative ammo if your gun likes it. I have a Browning BDM that hates the stuff, but the XD loves it. It really does not shoot that bad if your not asking a lot of it. For doing close up combat drills it's great. If your trying to see how many X's you can kill at 25 yards, forget it. And yes, it is dirty, but you have to clean the gun when your done anyway, so who cares?

I use it all the time in my AK's because it's the only thing you can use in an AK. What I mean by that is the AK's will typically chew up brass and 7.62x39 brass rounds are about 3 times the cost, plus they are usually to banged up to reload.

My gun dealer said I was lucky to have not have more issues. Russian ammo, Russian guns, AK, SKS, etc.

He also stated, no steel casings in your better guns. Steel on steel, not good.

Lesson learned, shoot better cheap stuff on the range.

Still puckered a little from getting out the live round.

I ordered a thousand rounds of Lawman target ammo on line and added to boxes of Russian steels by TulAmmo to try out just because they were cheap, cheap, cheap. Now I am not so sure I want to put them through my PX4. It has no problem with inexpensive brass cartidges (Am. Eagle/Lawman/etc).

I just ordered 1000 rounds of Speer Lawman yesterday. Great ammo at $14 a box for 40cal and $11 for the 9mm. We went to Fort Dix yesterday and a friend had the steel case. He had nothing but FTF from his S&W mo 40. They won't let us shoot stell case at my indoor range. I shoot a lot so I'm gonna start reloading my 40 cal. At $6 a box it will save me plenty.
