$9 for a 4 pack of 12 ounce bottles

Had it before Valentines Day dinner the night before. Drank two, cellared two away for next years Valentines day.

Loved it.

Super malty, very rich, a touch of sweetness but not overpowering sweetness, and at the same time very hoppy with a good floral bite, almost like an extremely malty slightly sweet IPA. Has that heavy mouth feel that most triple bocks have but not to the syrupy point that it put me off like many do. I find it to have more of a similarity to a barley wine then the strong ale it's labeled as.

I very much like the fact that they didn't get all crazy with the flavors, it's just malted barley and hops, the way it should be.

Not a session ale you'll want to pound a six of on a warm summer day, but perfect for sipping slowly in front of a fire.
