WTS - 3 704z Reels (including one DaveT)

18 posts in this topic

OK.. What you see, is what you get. I have 3 reels here and they are going as a group. The first one is a DaveT rebuild. I used it for one season and as you can see, I worked it hard. There is a little corrosion under the paint and it is a little hard to turn the handle. After taking it apart, my conclusion is, it needs to be tuned up good and if you want it to look new again, it needs a new coat of paint.

The other 2 are just as I bought them, but I used them for one season. They are both in fine working condition. One has a lot of dust on it from when I was doing some drywall work and I didn't feel like cleaning it off this morning to take the photos. I can wipe it down if you want a better look.

When I purchased all these reels, I was into them for about $450. I am asking $200 shipped firm. I am not going to split them up unless they are all going to sell. I may be open for trades if you have a nice 9' rod to offer.

Thanks!

Bob

History 101 of the XS9MHS. Has very minor blemishes on the blank. Light paint loss under the guides which is normal. The buttcap is scraped, but no tears. Cork tape is intact and holding up well. No cracks in the guide rings. I put white electric tape on the female connection for protection and tape on the tip for night fishing. All in all, it's in great pristine condition. Your Cabo will balance nicely on the rod as I had a Mitchell Nautil 6500 and a 710z on the rod.

If there is a near perfect "all around" 1 to 3oz rod, this is as close as you'll find. It even has the power in the back 2/3 to turn a very nice fish...one of my favorites paired with a Battle 5000.
