bob_G
My Dad fought in the European front in WWII, and was captured by the Germans, spending 18 months in a German POW camp. My uncle (his brother) was in the Air Force and flew supply missions over The Hump (The Himilayas), China-Burma-India. My uncle got this for my Dad as soon as he arrived in 1943, and carried it with him the entire time he was there, and gave it to my Dad when they were re-united after the war. My Dad gave it to me about 35 years ago. SallyGrowler
My dad served in the Italian Medical Corp (Red Cross) during WWII. He left all that stuff behind. In a way I wish I had something physical, but I can appreciate. why I don't.
Sudsy
I was just going through some stuff and found a few things that my grandfather brought back A nazi banner/flag the kind that hangs vertically with fringe on the bottom Photos that he took when they liberated a camp. Remember that scene in band of Brothers when they marched the townsfolk by the mass grave? That really happened and I have the photos to prove it. A piece of stone from Hitlers Eagles Nest. Some kind of Nazi commemorative plate picturing the Eagles Nest. Few other bits I just wanta play everyday despite small nagging injuries -- and go home to a woman who appreciates how full of crap I truly am. ~ Crash Davis Social Distancing since 1962
