Info on King Starboard or alternative

I'm looking to make a bigger bait table for my cooler rack. Was investigating King Starboard. Besides not being available locally to me the price is up there at approx. $150.00 for a 2' x 4' piece. Does any one have a suggestion on where to find it at a lower cost or an alternative product ? I realize I could do wood and urathane the heck out of it but first I would like to stick with the plastic angle. Any ideas ??? Thanks Bill

Teak is actually cheaper, but you may have to make the board with thinner strips. No varnish or oil needed if you don't mind the gray look when it weathers.

do a search for hdpe. i believe that is what most cutting boards are made of. the thicker stuff maybe expensive so you could buy thinner say 1/4 or 1/8" and bolt it to a plywood backer

Think this is a great idea.  Maybe a kitchen cutting board could be adapted, much cheaper

Thanks everyone. Will definately look into the hdpe. I have a board in place now that I made from a cutting board and it warped a little. Attaching it to a wood backing is a great idea. Wish I had thought of that, LOL. Thanks again.
