Have a Pro A for one year on on CTS S8 TREMENDOUS Distance and so far NOOOOO issues with the reel.Well worth the money for the distance you get. :)

I'm considering the Daiwa Emblem Pro A.  Is yours still holding up well?  My biggest concern is getting it occasionally splashed with salt water.

I can't believe where time has gone.5 years since I posted this UNBELIEVABLE.As far as the reel is concerned I still have and use the reel on the same rod,I had NOOOO trouble with the reel,l I don't get it wet it has taken some splashing never more than that.I take care to rinse all my reels when I get home from fishing and also do maintenance when I feel it's needed .Like I said for the money it's a very good distance casting reel had a 20lb blue fish on it with not problem .I would buy it again.Hope this helps Good Luck

Thanks for the update.  I did order it and had a chance to use it over the weekend.  I'm VERY happy so far!  I wish all spinners came with an additional spool like this one!
