Thanks to the efforts of Mark Yuhina, Boston, MA, we have a date for the New England Spey Clave = May 5, 2012.

Location is Barkhamsted, CT, American Legion and People's State Forest on the Farmington River.

Planning to have factory reps. attend with rods and lines, and demos for spey casting.

The facilities have a 30' x 60' covered pavilion in case of rain.

At this time we have commitments from:

Temple Fork Outfitters

Rio / Sage / Reddington

Airflo / Echo / Scott

Hardy / Greys

Fly shops are:

Upcountry Sportfishing, New Hartford, CT

Complet Angler, Darien, CT

Bear's Den, Taunton, MA

The CT DEP will have a discusson on the Farmington River

Fly tyers will demo Steelhead/Spey and Atlantic Salmon flys

We would welcome salt water tyers to attend and show flys and typical DH rods and lines used in the salt.

No charge for the day, the event is pre season and Matthies Grove will not have any fees.

The Spey Clave event will be at Matthies Grove picnic area on East River Road:

The Austin Hawes campground on West River Road is opened April 20, 2012.

My partner and I teach casting (Spey Casting - North East, LLC) with the two-handed rods.

We do not guide or sell retail.... only teaching.

We will be at the TFO booth,,,, Marlborough, Ma and Somerset, NJ,,,, Sat & Sun..

Stop by and say hello and we can discuss the Spey Clave and DH rods.
