Need A Pencil Popper Re-Wired

Rate this topic

13 posts in this topic

I hope what I am about to ask is not breaking any SOL rules-

I was changing a hook on a Gibbs Pencil Popper and accidently cut the belly swivel. It's an almost new lure and I would hate to throw it away. Would any lure builder here be willing to re-wire my lure and replace the belly swivel? Just let me know what you would charge me for your labor and material and return postage.

Thanks,

I'm sure somebody would do it for free. If no master wire wrappers are available, I will do it for ya. Some guys here are way better than me though at this. I have issues getting mine to lock down well.

You should consider learning to do it though. It's a great piece of knowledge for any fisherman.

Charleston-

That is extremely nice of you- I appreciate it. Thank you very much. The pencil is 6" long. By the looks of it- I don't think it has ever been fished.

I will PM you my contact info. Please PM me as to where I should send it.

THANK YOU again.

Thank you BigFisch and Brasilva for your offer, but, I sent the plug off yesterday to Charleston.

I really appreciate the help from all the guys that responded to this thread.

I received the plug this afternoon. I have rewired it, added new tail grommet and hooks. I will put it in Saturday's mail to return to you.
