You should receive your permanent fishing license in the mail in 14 business days. I am a computer failure and found and filled out the online form in about 3 minutes, the license came today after about 4 days..... Its easy, can't see how calling can be easier in any way..... It would have made sense to send the life timers license automatically. There are 2 different dates: the NY Registry starting Jan 1 2012 thru dec 31 2012, and the license anniversary date which was good for Nov 2011 - Nov 2012 I guess they still keep the lic date too.
