And some the most God awful recording studio sessions known to mankind from a technical standpoint. It's like it was done on a Radio Shack battery operated R-T-R.

yeah your right about that. I guess they didn't have much $ in 68'. I couldn't find a good live version on you tube. It's all about the lyrics. this video is cool

I'd love to know the real story cause I can't buy the lack of money thing. I'd be willing to bet that they put themselves in charge (because who could do it better? esp Jack 'I could beat God 2 falls out of 3' Bruce).

True, but try as you may, try to get any decent garage band to come close to reproducing the sound that well and it will be a mega-fail 999 times out of a thousand bands at best. There's serious talent belying the crappy machines recording it you just can't reproduce.

Ulysses is a regular in my daily ipod rotation.

ironically, i was reminded of this song yesterday by rustys comment in that thread where he brought up some dj aphrodite and wrote "her name was aphrodite and she . . .", and I was gonna reference the song, but i knew russ wouldnt get it, being a flyguy and all.

i was gonna say something like "' tales of rave clubwussies" or something along those lines . . . . . woulda been a waste.
