My wife and I go to the beach where I fish. We drink Non-alcoholic champagne and smoke a Monte Cristo #1 together and talk about times with my Great Grandfather, Grandfather and other men I was once fortunate enough to share the rocks, the sand and the sea with.

When we have smoked the cigar down half-way, I get out of our SUV, and talk with them all alone for a minute and thank them for leading me there and teaching me about the ocean and fishing and all that we shared when they were alive.

I also tell them how my wife and sons are doing and thank them for all the memories they gave me and also for keeping me safe and alive long enough to HAVE a family.

When I signal to my wife, she comes out with the last glass of Champagne. I set the cigar (still burning) onto the rocks and pour the champagne into the ocean to share with them.

I also pray they see the difference between the life I once lived and the life I have now.

Then we go home.
