Tell Me How Ron Paul Wins the Presidency?

Paul has some good things to say but I don't see him winning anything except possibly the Iowa caucus. I am listening to what he says but I have no faith in his ability to run a credible national campaign.

How does this play out, John? Paul is outspending Romney 2:1 in New Hampshire but Paul has no support in mainstream Republican circles. What is the price for a RP endorsement?

Have you seen what the Republican Party leaders endorsed lately? All they do is cave when the President criticizes them.

Would you want their endorsement?

If he or Johnson make a run with LP and are successful in splitting isolating the conservatives from the Republicans, this is a win.  Obama is re elected and maybe this time the Republican Party will take notice and get rid of some of the liberals in their party.

That is actually what i am working for along with my TP group.

how? simple. Ron decides to run as a libertarian or other 3rd party candidate. He draws off votes from romney and he loses.

The reps dont need an endorsement from Paul, they need him to not run. IT will be interesting to see what they try to do to keep him fro running.

I for one fully support Ron Paul as a 3rd party candidate in 2012. RUN RON RUN :)

every time ask my liberal republican friends (not on this forum) they always parrot the same untrue garbage, he blames the US for 9/11 etc etc blah blah blah. I think age is a bit of a problem with ron paul. he lacks fire. he doesnt defend himself from all the sleazy lies with the type of fervor that voters like to see. he aint "hollywood" enough. he needs to run ads with fireworks and lots of shiny stuff. paul comes from a generation that feels the type of stuff that attracts modern voters is beneath the presidency and he's right. but he's gonna pay for that.

I like Paul....a lot. His ideas seem outlandish to most people - that's because no one tells him what to think, he has a profound under standing of what the real issues are. He won't win, it's just not going to happen. I agree that he runs as a third part candidate, this will cause Obama to win.

On one hand, run Ron run, on the other, Obama wins.

That there is something to be proud of.

What will the libertarians say; it's not their fault they voted for Paul.

That puts stupid right into a pile.

Paul already said he wont run 3rd party if he loses the nomination. conervatives would be wise to avoid the 3rd party if theyre serious about ousting hussein.

im more serious about a conservative int he white house.......I choose to not settle for whichever liberal lite candidate the reps come up with. Id rather have an avowed leftist socialist int he white hosue we can rally against than some liberal lite POS that the resp foist on the nation.

Quite plainly, Obama, Romney, Gringrich, or any host of the other "major" candidates (excluding Mr. Paul).......doesn't matter who wins....IT IS ALL THE SAME.......

Am not a big fan of Ron Paul anymore since his Libertarian principles have become diluted over the past 20 years, but for the reasons John cited, I AM temporarily changing my voter registration from Libertarian to independent so that I can vote for him in the Mass primary (and will immediately switch back after the machine eats my ballot). But if he by chance should win the Republican nomination, I highly doubt I will vote for him in the general.

Here's how he wins...the next GOP debate suffers a major terror attack and he is the only survivor. Then, two weeks before the general election, Obama is caught with both a live boy and a dead girl. Outside of those happenings, it's a pipe dream.
