A Truly Wonderful Christmas........

2011 will go down as one of my favorite Christmases,

at least it should.

I don't know if there is a moment that or singular memory that will last,

but it was a Good Christmas because it was one that was truly what the season should be,

for me it was filled with peace love and harmony.

the family events all ran very well,

no Traditional Christmas Tears were shed by any member.

In Laws mingled with "steps" and all was fine,

kids were happy.

I had a variety of gifts that I was really happy to give this year,

that cost little,

but meant a lot.

A comic book I found for a quarter,

A signed golfball I won in a chinese auction,

a gimmick Coffee mug.

I found a lot of gifts that cost little, that I was excited to give,

and the smiles that came when the gifts were open made them more special than the gifts given with heaftier price tags.

Christmas was spent with the P family,

and his sons are becoming fine young men,

and his daughter is still a little princess,

and his wife can bake anyone under the table, and left a nice platter of her Christmas cookies behind.

I hope everyone had a holiday as wonderful as mine.

Peace for the New Year.

eh,

sometimes the Tavern becomes a repository for the negative,

I thought I would share some positive.

My neice was the Inn Keeper for their church's nativity play,

the Minister threw her off by asking for the character's name,

his follow up was to ask for the name of her in,

which she replied "The Holyday Inn"

laughter abounds.

I spent the day afer Christmas hanging out with my young nephew, the one I am "Uncle Tommy" to. We sang and played the piano, had an air hockey tournament, ate a big dinner and opened presents.

I enjoyed that.

Hey Boys, had a very fine Christmas here as well. Very nice thread Frank, I know what you mean by sharing some good times once in a while. We lost my father-in-law a few months ago but we cherished all the good times we had with him over the years and it brightened the mood. Enjoy the time spent with your loved ones, especially the elderly ones because they will not always be here! Hope you guys have a safe and Happy New Years as well..............Bob

That's great. Thoroughly enjoyed my Christmas as well. First Christmas for Jason. Just seeing him open gifts was all the presents I needed and to make this the best Christmas ever. Here he is opening his first present:
