Is it just me or has there been a ton of cases where a family member just lose it one day and decide to kill his/her entire family and then commits suicide? And it seems that women are catching up to men in this terrible act of destruction, it used to be a male dominated domain for as long as I can remember, but apparently that has changed for some reason. Everyone one of these cases the killer has undergone some traumatic issues either related to marriage or finance, but I don't understand why all of a sudden this becomes the way out for some people. :(

Some recent cases:

The holidays are the worst time of the year for a lot of people. Lots of suicides occur this time of year. That's hard enough on the survivors but taking people with you is even worse.

Suicide is about as selfish as it gets, real piece of crap kin of behavior, but it takes a really scumbaggish kind of behavior to take anyone else with you.

I don't know if there's an uptick in this kind of behavior, but it sure seem like an uptick in females engaging in this kind of scumbaggery, no doubt attributable to the womens rights movement. "Empowerment" has it's price, innocent kids lives are part of it.

Back when I was helping with the youth group at church we had a January Roast beef dinner I named "The Holidays Survivors Dinner". Of course after the second one "Someone" complained about the name. I never figured out why.

Peace
