I think that driving in Manhattan, is where you'll find the worst drivers. It is a major gladiatorial event! Granted, most of the drivers there are from LI or NJ...but the city is where you are most apt to be cut off. In fact, cutting people off there is a local tradition.:D

There are 75,000 taxi's in Manhatten and 12 minutes ago they were driving camels, so go figure.

The more that things change, the more they stay the same.

Meet LI's 2011 Intel finalists & semifinalists

Meet Long Island's 2011 valedictorians

Long Island's high-school seniors Wednesday captured 61 semifinalist slots in the national Intel science competition -- more than 20 percent of all awards announced nationwide.

The student researchers, whose names were officially announced at 3 p.m., win $1,000 each and a chance to compete in Washington, D.C., later this year for finalist scholarships, including a top prize of $100,000.

The Jericho school district has the Island's largest number of semifinalists this year, a total of seven, though its 1,200-student high school is relatively small. The Great Neck district has six semifinalists, while the Bellmore-Merrick and Three Village districts have five each.

The first thing that comes to my mind is traffic.

Traffic is bad here, and its getting worse on a yearly basis.... Sucks!

More were at the thumb, soccer mom hell....

It's amazing also how these soccer moms show up and give the surfcasters dirty looks because your to close to there kids in the water. One incident I had when a mother said can you move somewhere else. I simply said NO, READ YOUR PERMIT. Which I think was a good answer.

The more that things change, the more they stay the same.

The Most Lazy, Spoiled, Fac****ok by the minute Updaters - our LI Younger generation.

Companies are not able to find young people that actually want to work. They feel that work is an alternate place to get some free money(if their parents stopped) so they can buy their next generation ipod, ipad, and BMW, without actually working for it. Most carry their cell phones to contantly update their Fa****ok because companies have it blocked. The only positive is that they have no time do go fishing and mess up with the rest of us.

Local govt are still on the take for the highest briber...........

Folks from the city should not be allowed to drive on our highways (especially the left lane on Sunrise Highway) on Saturday mornings.

:D
