That is a big score from the state. $ 101.6 million is going to be use in part for sewage projects in Wyandanch, Hempstead, the Ronkonkoma Hub-Long Island MacArthur Airport link, as well as affordable housing developments, grants for cold Spring Harbor, and something called the Thought Box, which entails the renovation of space in downtown Hicksville to “create a development center designed for technology companies, ranging from startups to mature firms.”

Here in the Long Island Forum, yes...it is.

 

 

 

Sewage issues affect us all. As Long Islanders.  In fact, there may exist a tie-in between this thread and the lobster fishing discussion. Some surmised that the fall off in the Sound's lobster harvest was directly related to untreated sewage entering our sacred waterways. And now, we may have money made available to help address those issues.

 

We're not casting our lines into the sand dunes, are we????
