First fishing trip in the new Hobie Outback

6 posts in this topic

I got a chance to run down to Oak Island (NC) Saturday to try the new Outback fishing. I was a very windy day but that didn't stop the fishing with my hands free. I loved how it worked for fishing! In just under 2 hours I had 8 trout and kept my limit of 4. The ones I kept were between 17" and 22". I can't wait for the next trip!

For a minute i thought you stole my Outback because mines the same color. It looks like your fishing near the Lockwood folly inlet on one of the creeks next to the Intercoastal waterway. My favorite spot. I fish the overnights there but have not kayaked it yet.

You got it. I launched at the mud/sandbar where the parking is and headed up towards the marina.
