The Sog twitch II is like a mini switchblade lol. Gerber and Sog both make good stuff and you can't go wrong with either imo . I am kind of partial to the spring assisted tech that Sog uses because it works flawlessly and the cryogenic heat treated blades that certain models have are the real deal.

Is the one that i have heat treated?

You would have to check by going to their site, i am not a knife guy and don't carry one around, i commented because i had one laying around from years ago. I would not worry if it's heat treated or not, the quality of the steel is the thing you should look at, because the cheap stuff is everywhere out there, but for the most part Sog and Gerber use quality stuff.

What's are you going to do with the knife?

In 40+ years of fishing I've only ever used a knife to cut:-

Anchor rope (twice), bait, fillets and slice french bread.

Rope and french bread are best with a serrated blade.

Filleting and bait require something easy to clean.:)

Like others, I own more than one knife, many more than one. For my money, Benchmade is the clear winner, Kershaw comes in a close second, the others are okay but not a benchmade. IMHO, the only knife to avoid is CRKT, poorly designed, made and warranteed.

I pretty much allways have a knife in my pocket, i am always working around the house with my dad, or doing tasks for him be it electrical to tying up tree branches. So all i have to do is reach in my pocket and i have what i need to get the job done.
