Power Pro vs Fireline or Mono

I like all three and find a niche for each.

Mono- bait fishing, eels

power pro -- plugs buck-tails sluggos etc

fireline -- whenever I am using my 704 or 706 or 710 reel, unless I am using bait or eels then I change it out and re-spool it to mono

anybody else do this, or are there better systems?

Bag the mono reggie, there's no place for it.

You need to feel your fish reggie, free yourself from the stretch.

Get some sufix 832 in neon green, fish will fear you, wimmen will swoon. ;)

how my gonna feel the fish when the rod is in the spike and I am in a chair 5ive feet away with a bud or coffee in my hand?

that is why you use mono and that is how to enjoy fishing

Wrong. I covered this in my back to fureline thread! Too many break offs with PP. Fireline only....

Yeap, but not because I care what other folks use.. It's because it works and has worked for me since it first came out.. As far as the original question for this thread, might use the mono for bottom fishing, but otherwise it's fireline..

I don't see the need to respool with mono just because i'm bait fishing, even if spiked . Just set the drag right and and you won't have to bother with switching lines.

I like to crank my drag down as tight as I can by hand, then I use pliers and give it about another 1/4 turn, which is why I like the mono..it stretches so if I am enjoying a beverage ( coffee or a brew) I have time to get up, put my drink down where I'll remember to not forget to knock it over and get to my rod and reel to pull the fish in.
