Looking to buy a new surf reel $80-$175 any suggestions

 

before anyone can answer this question constructively, you need to reveal the size of your rod !!

Using a penn battle 3000 witha 10'6" st. Croix triumph surf with amazing distance results for about 250 bucks total. Using suffix 40 casts nice after about a 1/2 day of getting the line to lay nice. Now I can really heave it past the bar.

It's the Indian, not the arrow. Although its necessary to have the right equipment, distance is the result of casting properly. Same as golf clubs, you can spend thousands, if your swings only worth a nickel, it won't make a difference.;)
