Few pics from my trip to Port Saint Lucie

5 days on the Port saint Lucie River. All fish caught on 3 inch Gulp Shrimp, or a 3 inch chartreuse grub tail. Ended up catching a lot of small/medium Seatrout (and 1 nice one), Landed 1 Ladyfish, and lost dozens more, 3 small Jacks, 2 Snook, and a small (black ?) Drum. Also lost a huge Fluke.

Didn't have a camera all days.

The little snook you're holding looks like it has a long anal fin. If so, it was a swordspine snook, not a common snook. They're not rare, and quite numerous in some places, but they are different and very cool in their own way. They never get too big. Thanks for sharing the pics. Look like you had fun.

Here's a look at the entire U.S. snook family courtesy of a display at the Jonathon Dickinson State park visitor center. By the way, glad to see your kids got in some fishing fun.
