Went to a fundraiser last night, got to bed around midnight, woke at 4:45am, drove two hours down to Waretown and jumped on my friends boat to troll In front of IBSP. Lines out for ten minutes then wham. I grab the rod and start reeling. Feels like a pulling in a 100lb. bag of potatoes. I'm already exhausted when we get on the boat and now I'm spent after reeling for two minutes. My buddy is laughing at me and saying what a wimp I am for having so much trouble with a fish on a umbrella rig. Now I've down some fishing offshore and know I am capable of handling game fish but this was too much. After ten minutes of reeling and a lot of ball busting from my friend I get the leader to the boat. Holy crap! A quadruple hit. One 34" striper, one 34" bluefish and two 30" blues. My arms still hurt. Also it looked like the whole US Navy was out today from Seaside to the Barnegat Inlet. Just as many guys on the beach to.
