Water Hammer Arrestor

I have a good case of water hammer when using the washing machine.

I'm gonna add a W.H. Arrestor, where is the best place to put it on the line?

Close to the Washer or on the line before the line splits off to the house?

What has changed in the plumbing system? Is this a new house?

You may want to google water hammer, water hammer arrester alot of info out there.

If this is a old installation you might just need to drain down the system & refill it. The existing air chamber's might be flooded! Again google the above, you will find it helpfull.

Install at washer itself, my old maytag never made a sound. My new high-tech washer was driving me nuts.

Lowes $10.45 apiece, I put one on each inlet to the machine At the washer will protect the hoses too..

Very interesting,I guess $10.45 & a trip to Lowes beats calling a plumber.

     GOOD LUCK
