Cape May Jetty/Beach Access Question?

Rate this topic

A question for those that frequent the beach/jetty in Cape May. I've been to the jetty once on 'Diamond Beach' side where you park in a little parking lot and walk about a mile(?) to the jetty. From google map, I can see drivable pathway that save quite a walk. Do you know if its possible to drive along that pathway and and park closer to the jetty (not on the beach)? Thanks.

I was down there last week you can not drive all the way to the jetty you have to park and walk the last mile or so, also they are pumping sand on the beach on the CM side of the jetty

With Military ID I believe you can.. That roadway is part of the US Coast Guard Loran Unit...

Back in the day ( early 80's) I use to drive straight down the surf line to the jetty from Diamond Beach with nobody around, even made it from the back side off Ocean Drive with my JEEP..

Those were the days ;)
