Maybe this will liven it up some. I was fishing a point on the big puddle.

It was pretty quiet. Thinking about moving on.

But I caught a rise a little further up the shore. Lake Trout don't jump. They kind of "roll". It wasn't too far off the point where I usually fish.

It was worth the walk. In 15 minutes. 3 fish and the skunk has been dispatched.

.

Going to get better everyday!

Schweet! Wondering how the lake fishing has been for you guys. Was waaaayyyy up north near the border for duck opener. Heading into the woods for deer season tomorrow. I really should be sleeping right now, but too excited.

Good luck. Keep them pix coming!!

It's late by standards. Should have had the first ones by Halloween. Better (well - the smaller ones smoke better ) bigger ones to come. At least my confidence is up. Trout and salmon are finally up the river so I can find some at my UDL where the muskies were...Damn I'm gonna miss them!

Man, that's a nice rainbow.  That's casting from shore?  Good work!

BTW- I love the wrapper still on the rod handle!  Got a bunch like myself.  It's become a tradition of sorts.

We don't have the Steelhead in Maine but I've been a catching a few of the smaller beauties. I also got some togue by shore last Thanksgiving when hitting the salmon in the tributaries, sure is fun :th:
