Use Wire or Mono/Flouro for chunking for bluefish?

Avid fisherman on the Vineyard but usually spinning or flyfishing...during the MV derby, I started to chunking for bluefish. I use wire leaders but see other people use monoleaders....

What do people recommend?

If you use mono, what test do you use?

If you are just going for blues use wire leaders. It will save you alot of time so you don't have to keep on retying. But i like to use mono leaders at 60 pound test. I seem to work best for me when i catch the blues.

If I'm playing "for keeps" with the blues, it's a 12 inch wire leader to 36" of 40 pound mono to my braid. Hook is a size 1 treble. Let them inhale it and rip it out when the fish is on deck.
