Stax calling.

This is not spam, or anything close, this is a genuine piece of information for those who are either unemployed, between jobs or just looking for a totally new challenge.

I am in the mining industry myself, I actually supply to the mining giants, Chevron, RIO TINTO, BHP, Fortescue, Extrata and many many others.

All of these companies are stretched to the maximum looking for mainly skilled workers. From Plumbers, Electricians, Cablers, Fitters, Turners, Welders, Diesel Fitters, Heavy good drivers, the list goes on and on

And if you’re a Geologist, Surveyor, anything to do with rocks or chemicals, or Down Hole Specialist, you are worth your weight in gold.

Pay is in “nearly” every case over $50.00-$60.00 per hour plus overtime allowances, shift and area allowances. Housing in most cases is supplied as are all amenities and food.

For the select few salaries can start at $200,000

These are remote places, and I mean remote, but if you go to Google Earth and look up the following places you will get an idea of where these places are.

Port Hedland, Karratha, Cloud-break, Fortescue, Barrow Island are just a few.

Or look here for some job positions. The first link is Fortescue and the Second RIO TINTO.

Other than supplying Ruggedized Computer Hardware to these companies, I have no personal gain from this. This is just to see if it can help even one of you in some way or another.

If you have any questions please let me know....

Stax, thanks for reaching out; really nice.  icon14.gif

Cabo says “These days, too many responsibilities.”  I think he is voicing the problem with the modern U.S. business mantra of “do more with less” and key management skill set to simply “get work done through others.”  What has been happening here too is to do this as cheaply as possible—which is fine if this can be done through actual management rather than (and here comes the pun) shafting your employees.

Ah, to treat employees as people or, as the chattel of the Human Resource department?

Thanks again for the reach-out to those who may be able to give it real consideration.  Regards, inthered.

Thinking about it. Fiancee may have issues with leaving family behind. I have a fairly broad skill set but limited physical ability.

Sound like Alaska 30 yrs. ago.........the new Frontier.

"Law enforcement’ is not something sovereign citizens seize from police officers. It is a societal function that citizens delegate to civil police.

In so doing, we do not abdicate our own sovereignty, nor our duties as citizens. Ultimate responsibility is still ours. When those we hire as our “Protectors” are either unwilling or unable to perform that function at the critical moment, there is no law, nor standard, that says we cannot perform it for ourselves"........ John Farnam.
