If the Egyptians should abrogate their 'peace' treaty with Israel, (read 'peace' as 'payoff'), and try to re-militarize the Sinai, then all Hell breaks loose. The Israeli's will never abide an army the size of Egypt's right next to their border. We'll see another round of Israeli 'pre-emptive' war before that happens.

 

I don't see an immediate disaster occurring, but a few years down the road, anything could happen. 'Democracy' sure is a messy business. redface.gif

IMO, the military understands that peace with Isreal is in their best interest and I don't think they have much tolernace of the radical muslims.

 

 

My guess is that new democracy will give some token power to the opposition, but the ruling party will have the backing of he military -

 

 

they just need to appear less corrupt that mubarek
