dogboy
this was discussed in here a while ago the congresswoman who was just shot used to have a palin sponsored bullseye dialed in over her district- one of twenty people were told to "take aim" on a palin spokesperson denied that these bulls-eyes were meant to represent rifle scope crosshairs in any way who are they kidding? and now it's gone way to go, you stupid ****
DaveCap
Do you think they advocated shooting these individuals or anyone for thst matter? Do you blame her for the shooting?
TheSpaniard
I don't think she was advocating that these people should be shot... but I also consider my sane...... Plug and teaser
I don't like the woman politically, I think she's a negative for her party. Saw nothing wrong with the add though, what whimps we have become. To put a "Bullseye" on opponents for Political defeat...Ohhhh..Nooo. Political rhetoric is very mild these days by historical standards. Don't care for this guy either....but he was good at it. Emanuel was so angry at the president's enemies that he stood up at a celebratory dinner with colleagues from the campaign, grabbed a steak knife and began rattling off a list of betrayers, shouting 'Dead! ... Dead! ... Dead!' and plunging the knife into the table after every name.

albacized
The ad was not any worse than most other political ads being aired these days...although I understand why it's pulled now; although not because some admission on Palin's part that it was inflammatory, but just out of respect since the media is evidently trying to create a connection between the ad and this tragedy. moonbat
We do not have to go too far in history to see how the language of violence can precipitate violence. People on all sides need to tone down the overheated political rhetoric and symbolism, particularly that rhetoric that implies violence be done to opponents or that some person is less than a person. How often do we see the term "POS" used on this site to describe some person who happens to believe differently than we do politically. Do I blame Palin? No. But it is exactly that kind of symbolism and imagery that can foster ever escalating fears/hate into action. We have freedom of speech. It is on us to be responsible with it. NS Mike D
she had scoffed at questions about her obvious rhetoric using war cries and the such. While I am making no excuses for nut jobs, I have long held that the mere existance of nut jobs made her rhetoric irresponsible. "... let it go - lets move forward." Roadrunner
Well, if we're going to get our PC panties all up in a bunch, I propose that we immediately ban the use of the word' targeted' from the political lexicon. After all, some nimrod may take it the wrong way........ I see the 'progressive' hand-wringers never get tired of playing pin the tail on Palin. I see the 'progressive' hand-wringers never get tired of playing pin the tail on Palin. there is a monumental difference between banning political rhetoric and recongnizing there are whackos in the world. that's not pc liberal bunched up panties, and Palin put herself squarely in the prverbial crosshairs, she jumped on the tea party call to arms bandwagon, and took it to a new level, and when asked about it, she dismissively scoffed at the question. I am sure she is having second thoughts about her brazen use of the rhetoric right now. "... let it go - lets move forward."

DaveCap
Then we had better eradicate all violent video games, violent movies, and anything else that a handful of nuts can't differentiate from real life.
