That's a clean Tundra. Random drivers window smash is strange considering they had a sidewalk on the other side. We have a 2020 Prius that lives out in front of our house. I'm expecting to start it one morning to the sound of an open exhaust.  CC theives are everywhere in my area.

I try to wash it every other month. lol Yup car window break ins is an epidemic, no pun intended. But it's not that clean, it's got battle scars.

A good friend had a cc cut out of her Prius in front of her house in Oakland a couple weeks ago. Car starts but won't run now. Caught them in the act and has pics. No use..

I heard they were targeting the Prius' catalytic converters?

Having experienced that same thing a few times myself, I know how bad that sucks.

Yep, it $%%#$ SUCKS!!!!! I called the police to file a report, they told me to call my insurance company if I need to replace anything of value that was stolen. And to go online to file the report. But the officer on the phone they're not going to send a car out since it's not a priority.

The people that lived across from where my truck was parked had a camera showed 3 hooded people and possibly a Dodge Charger idling beside my truck. The video only went on for 30 seconds.

They stole my 12" dual subwoofer, ashtray, lighter, and all of my coins. And as for my fishing gear, I keep a St. Croix Triumph Surf 9 ftr with a Shimano Stradic 5000 FI. Small/Tall Aquaskinz plug bag that contained hooks, grubs, assorted lead sinkers, pre cut mono leaders. Couple of buck tails, SS popper, and a bone colored Daiwa SP minnow. And also a Hansom plier with a coiled lanyard.

I have the same Tundra, 2001, same color.  When they broke into mine they were nice enough to go through the bed and broke the rear sliding window only.  I happen to carry a 2-piece rod there, tucked behind the backseat headrests, rigged up with a kastmaster.  The line was broken, the kastmaster was gone, they left the rod and reel, but took the spare battery and a bag of wet beach clothes.  I like to tell myself that the kastmaster wasn't taken intentionally.

Hopefully, the kastmaster ended up hooking the thief. Whats the mileage on yours? I got about 115,000....on it. The transmission was replaced on warranty when it had about 39,000 because it failed. I was entering the freeway when it just suddenly slowed down, I kept pressing on the gas but it wouldn't speed up. I was lucky since I haven't gone onto the main freeway and there was a bit of space next to the on ramp where I could park and not block traffic while I waited for the tow truck. They towed it back to the dealer(Melody Toyota). Once they checked it, they told me it was the tranny and it would be replaced under warranty. I used to have a K&N cold air intake filter on it but it kept tripping the 02 Sensor. The CE light would come on and off intermittently. So you'd think it'll be ok. But once you take it in for a Smog Check that's when they tell you it wouldn't pass because there is a stored error code. So I just ended up taking the K&N filter out and put the stock filter box back.

I had to get an aftermarket window, the stock Toyota window costs twice. And I don't have time to go to junkyards and scavenge.

Mine has 240k on it, original everything.  Even the water pump.  Have the kit ready to replace, just don't have a garage right now to do it.  Starter was giving problems for a while, replaced the relay ($15) and it starts every time now.

The only upgrade I have on it is the K&N Air Filter, and I've had it in since 2011, passed smog every time.  Your error code might be something else.

The mallards (yeah, ducks) and crows in my neighborhood have learned to hunt the surf line for sand crabs. It's pretty amazing to watch those bills, so specifically designed for other environments, get used in the sand.

White rain.

Rare for Seattle. Ended up with 11” at my place which is just above Puget Sound.

Going to be a sloppy mess with lots of dirty saltwater on the beaches once the rain comes back and flushes this all away.

First post! Wanted to share a photo of our recent ice storm that knocked out power in the Willamette valley in Oregon.  Just got power back this afternoon (out since friday @ noonish).  Tons of trees sheared of most of their branches in our neighborhood.  Lots to clean up

Last month it was my truck getting broken into. Yesterday, the teenager driving this SUV ran thru a stop sign, swerved to avoid hitting another car. Lost control and ended up totaling his SUV, another SUV and wrecked the rear driver's side quarter panel on my 08 Honda Odyssey. I really should find another spot to park.
