In the NY/NJ waters - which is the best, pound per pound fighting fish?

I exclude sharks, Rays, junks and pelagics. Drum are excluded because.... I've never Caught a black drum tongue.gif .

But I narrow the field to the fish we all know within casting range from the surf.

Hmmm..."toughest" fighter is a bit subjective, so I used the pound for pound part smile.gif

In my head I imagined a 1# blackfish tied to a 1# specimen of all the other species listed - the 1# blackfish consistently dragged the 1# everything else all over the place HappyWave.gif
