Report: Randy Moss waived by Minnesota Vikings

Randy Moss has been waived by the Minnesota Vikings, according to an NFL Network report.

The move comes the day after Moss' bizarre postgame presser following the Vikings' loss to his former team, the New England Patriots. In it, he professed his love for the Patriots and admiration for Coach Bill Belichick and vowed to do future press conferences in which only he asks and answers questions. That came on the heels of a $25,000 fine last week for not meeting media obligations as required by the NFL.

Moss, traded by the Patriots to the Vikings on Oct. 6, remained behind in Boston after Sunday's loss.

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi reports that the Vikings have waived Randy Moss.

If the report is correct, the Vikings have given up on Moss just four games after acquiring him for a third-round pick on October 5. After calling out the coaching staff in his Sunday night press conference, Moss refused to travel with his teammates back to Minnesota, instead staying in Boston with his family. He'll now be subject to the waivers process, with any team claiming him on the hook for his $6.4 million salary prorated over the rest of the season. The winless Bills have first dibs. Moss indicated Sunday that he'd like to return to New England, but the Patriots are last in the waiver order. We'll know by 4PM ET if he's been claimed. Nov. 1 - 2:54 pm et

That would be a real 3-headed monster.

You figure this move had to be approved by the coach,GM and owner. He must have really ticked the folks in high places off.

me thinnks Childress is a lousy head coach. he reaches for quick fixes. I would think if the pats sign him that might cause a problem with the trade from before.
