I went out to the pier about 45 minutes before sundown and landed these two Cudas on a topwater bait from Charleston. Probably about 4 and 6 lbs. It's getting better as the weather is cooling down, bring on the Cobia next month!!!

View PostThat's pretty rad. Nice catch!

Is the cude very good eating?

As long as they don't have cigatera (sp) poisoning, they are supposed to be killer. I think only the larger fish carry the toxin so he is safe.

I gave them to the owner of the pier, I have fished with him a few times and always hook him up. Now when he kicks all of the TCN's off his pier he lets me stay and fish in peace. It's pretty nice to be over here and have this fishing in walking distance! I will be at it again tonight!!!
