as long as you are okay casting it...but IMO i would add a topshot of mono

and maybe bump the braid up to 50lb

The mono topshot and heavier braid should keep the backlashes away...

do a slim profile knot to join the line together..i like the albright and i

use it on all my freeling and topshot rigs and never get hang up in the guides, like i have seen other

I mess around with my friend reel (same thing) and i couldnt give it back

fast enough..cwm27.gif

Unless i'm on a boat..its spinning reel for mebeers.gif

the first backlash with the braid and you will see why you should've put a

topshot of mono...

and like whtkdtn1401 said, it does help from cutting out nick out braid...

save money and headaches in the long run..

It also depend on where you are fishing...if you are fishing rocks/dock/piers

then mono topshot is a must IMO..

I use braid on all my reels and i still use long mono leaders or a topshot of

mono on them..

Thats not a law of fishing....do what works for you...i know alots of guys that don't use mono with braid..

Yea they do change it out or patch braid in alot...but it works for them..

Nobody here is perfect and none of us have the "Right" answer... everyday

you are on the water you learn something new...

Now if someone is red in the face if you dare to question them about something...HappyWave.gif

with all the yrs of fishing under my belt... i still don't know **** cwm27.gif i take

what works for me and try to pass it along

now if you change it up and it works for you...highfive.gif more power to you

fishing isnt rocket science...

Keep it simple and you will have alot more fun....but it never works out that

When I started learning how to fish, I didn't know how to catch anything beside bait fish with sabiki rigs... Now, things changed when the time passed.biggrin.gif

I use 30lb sufix on my curado 300dsv and have no problems with backlashes. Love the setup for snook with 40 or 50lb floro leader. Great reels, BTW after a years use I reverse the line which saves some dough. JP
