This has been whats been slaying the bass this fall, for me at least. I've gotten some taps before on rebel minnows and redfins but they are committed to the chicken scratch.

Did you guys have any go to lures for a whole season in years past? Any one single lure that caught almost every single time you went out?

wink.gif Gotta throw you guys off some how! I've had 2 weeks of bass now. Some nights better than others.

The water temps 2 weeks ago were over 65 degrees. They are now a perfect 58. Which is the only thing that could explain why they weren't biting before....the beaches haven't changed much; no big storms in 3 weeks, and I've been frequenting the same spots almost every night since September 1st.....

It was like an on and off switch I guess...

I never figured a lighter color like that would work at night. I've been throwing black and black/purple. Maybe that's why I'm not catching anything this fall compared to last fall.

Tell that to the guys that mug us and don't catch while we nail them.

Also, I started seriously plugging stripers last year.
