My low voltage high hats make a buzzing noise which come from the lamps. What is the cause and cure? The transformers are in my basement so that's not the source.

Are you using a standard line voltage dimmer? If so, that's probably the problem. You need either an electical or magnetic low voltage dimmer - be prepared to pay north of $100.

Are they new or always worked and just started making this noise ?

How far is the transformer from the last light and what guage wire is used from the transfromer to the lights ?

Think they just started making the noise. They have been installed for over 2 years and just replaced the first bulb a couple months ago. I have 3 sets, one w 14, one w 6, and one w 2 lamps. Not sure on the gauge, and the transformers are in the basement just underneath the rooms w lamps. The 14 set spans about 24', plus the run up from the basement. The others are shorter.
