Agreed....seemed like the Fins had the ball in the End Zone

Yeah they did get robbed, all due to a single ref on the line raising his hands and blowing the whistle even tho he couldnt clearly see the play.

Then they get the ball back with 2:16 left and immediately run the ball on first down and bungle away the 2 min warning which would have been a free timeout..........unreal.mad.gif

Granted, it was a bad call but the Marlins couldn't do much when the Steelers handed them the ball by fumbling on their first two possessions and ending up with 2 field goals. They end up kicking 5 field goals, that's where the game was lost, not by the refs., no offense. Witness their last possession.

Which game had the bogus interception call at then end? Was it this game (I seem to recall the Miami QB throwing a ball that was either rushed or tipped, but it hit the ground before the so called pick occurred - and with less than two minutes left, it was up to the booth the review it, which never happenend)???

Gotta agree. What's the point of having replay if you can't get that call right? Somebody must've handed the ball to the ref after the scrum. Did he forget who?

View PostIt looked like 3 dolphins were on the ball before a steeler got there. Bad break.

Not only that, but a Fish linebacker (number 58 or 59) clearly came off the bottom of the pile with the ball in his hand. shakehead.gif

This is a suituation where the refs have to anticipate a challenge and sort out post-fumble possession. The umpire had the best view of the play, and he never signalled a TD. He clearly thought that it was a fumble. The head linesman, who made the TD call, was screened from view by blockers.

As far as the phantom INT goes at the end, it was a 4th down play anyway, and the Steelers actually lost field position on it. The pick was over the previous line of scrimmage.

Was a bad call. However, you can't make 3 trips into the red zone and not come out with one TD. Shouldn't have came down to that situation for the Dolphins.
