I've soaked my tins in my wifes jewelry cleaner, it works ok. The problem is the salt water and the scratches and nicks really deteriate the finish so I haven't been able to get mine sparklying again. No tin looks better than an out of the box kastmaster.

With good stuff you can polish them up nice. But I'm sure that some of the cheap stuff out there can't be polished or the finish will come right off. Stick with the good stuff like Pt. jude highfive.gif

I fish tins regularly, leave them unwashed, leave them in the elements all week and I come back and their fine. Only time I rinse em is end of fall when packing it in.
