LIGHTNING SAFETY...

Folks,

I know folks on SOL use common sense and discretion while fishing...some jetty acrobatics/aerobatics heroics aside.wink.gif

Old timers(sorry)you know this stuff, young folks might just need reinforcement

In view of this weeks Beach lightning fatality, I post these Lightning safety facts/info.

Good fishing buds are hard to find!!

BTW. The last one/url is a Powerpoint Quiz, I guess it was geared to school kids(silly graphics), Kids might not ask so many questions like "Ahh, WHY WE GOT TO GO NOW, Huh" after taking it! Lots of you folks got younguns! Right!?

ps.I aced da quizsmile.gif

Common sense goes a LONG way - but this link is informative.. The 30-30 rule is completely true - but hey, if you're gonna be on an open beach in the middle of a "severe thunderstorm warning" like we had yesterday, you need to get some help.. I like to fish in relatively safe conditions, so if a t-storm is cropping up, my butt is gonna be right at home or in my truck riding the storm out 'till its out to sea!! smile.gif
