flytyingguy1
Being you have a decent rod you might as well get a decent reel The Shamino Stradic is over your budget But if you put antoher $50 you can get a 8000FI for $199.00 New Or check the BST for a used one. Same goes for the Quantum Cabo 50 $199.00 Or an older Penn Slammer USA Made.

SurffisherMike
follow Flytyingguy's advice. I have built on that blank. Great light rod for walking the beach. Can launch 1 1/2 - 2oz real well. excellent for throwing roberts rangers/ small pencils to bass and blues that a far off the beach and tins to albies. you definitely should get a quailty reel for it. its no a rod i would take on the rocks and go nuts with so you dont need a sealed reel (vs or anything) but a nice light stradic would be killer on that rod. havent used an 8000 just the 5 and 6 for smaller rods but i would guess the 8000 would be a good sized match
bospa357
If it were me, I would add another $50 to your budget and go with a Shimano Saragossa or Daiwa Saltist 4500. Either reel can be had for right around two bills and you'll be happy with either one. If you're fixed on that price budget, opt for the Shimano Spheros instead. david lam
You were correct--it's not the BST forum and you're not allowed to solicit buys, sales or trades outside of it.

sailorma
I just got the 1322 11" for my B-day a couple of months back and put a Stradic 8000 mon it. I am learning to love the combo. It is really nicely balanced and I am finally casting well with it.
