"Team Daiwa Advantage 153 HSTA - Given how much we've liked the Coastal, it was only natural that we'd also want to play with their upgraded version with Magnetic Cast control, the 153HSTA Team Daiwa Advantage. This version takes the Coastal several steps forward. Again, it features a massive seven disc drag, plus the Magforce Z anti-backlash control. There's a free floating spool to improve already great freespool performance, 10 ball bearings and a roller bearing, and an aluminum swept handle arm for improved center balance. There's a lot more metal here too, it's a substantial little reel that feels bulletproof.

 

This is a wonderful reel for the guy who really wants the best low profile baitcaster built. If you fish inshore, brackish or freshwater, you can make a very good case for owning this reel. The 153HSTA is my favorite inshore reel. Yes, Daiwa forced me to buy on another reel. The first one we ordered was a special order for a client at our shop. The second two went to guys who work here. That should say something about how nice the HSTA is, once you put her in your hands you'll also appreciate the quality."
