Charter in Brunswick/Portland area

Coming up with family in 3rd week of August. Know how to catch stripers close to shore. I'm thinking about bringing by boys (12 and 14) and my father in law out for cod, shark, or tuna.

Any advice for a good charter without breaking the bank?

What species do you recommend that we target?

We will be staying on Bailey Island.

I don't know much about tuna or shark fishing, but if you want to go groundfishing, I recommend the Bunny Clark down in Ogunquit. When we wanted to go out and catch fish without spending too much, it was definitely worth the drive down there (we stayed in Harpswell and Bath area). They will get you on fish. Make sure you reserve your spots at least a couple days ahead.

thanks guys! Been catching sharks a new way this season. Brought a little of the florida keys light tackle methods with me and man o man it has changed the ball game a bit. Best season ever. Been catching double digits on the sharks for a month. Get out there!

I haven't talked to dave lately but my wife and I have fished with Dave Pecci for 15 yrs . We go up to the Kennebec twice a year to fish for stripers.

Check him out . You won't regret it
