I grew up watching him on TV. My parents watched him every week. We still play his Christmas albums.RIP Mitch...thanks for the memories. Look around the 3:40 mark of the video above...damned if that doesn't look like a young Johnny Carson.....

I was gonna say he had to be close to a buck--man, I thought that he must have died years ago.

Goodbye Forever, Old Fellows and Gals. Kind of appropriate the first song had those lyrics frown.gif

Rest in Peace Mitch, you were cool, look at the goatee.

Your Holiday Specials were standard fare for my family's holidays clapping.gif

BTW, sure does look like Johnny Carson, starting at 2:58 and then up to 3:40

(

Likewise.....grandparents had many of his records......

Some songs that come to mind:

Silvery Moon

Don't Fence Me In

Tavern in the Town

You Are My Sunshine

Down By the Old Mill Stream

And of course:

Be kind to your web footed friends

For a duck my be somebody's mother

Be kind to your friends in the swamp

Where the weather is very, very damp

Now you may think that this is the end

Well it is!
