If the epoxy is thin, and the are you want to get rid of small, you can probably remove it with nothing more than denatured alcohol (or rubbing alcohol) and a paper towel. If the epoxy is too thick for this method, then heat it GENTLY, with a blow dryer, and remove with alcohol and a paper towel. The heat method is easier if the epoxy isn't near a guide wrap, because you don't have to worry about heating the epoxy over the threads. But no matter where epoxy is, you can get rid of it if you take your time and are careful.

An actual droplet on the metal part of the guide will probably come right off dead clan at the inteface. Try using a blade to just get it to debond all in one piece right at the metal surface.

The fingerprints might come off by just sliding your thumbnail over the edge. If you you can try a smooth metal edge , preferably not a blade edge. Something like the back of a knife. If ot then try the solvents , etc. as described above. Most thread finsih will just peel off if you do it fairly soon after the application. It does not stick all that well to the surface so as I said , you may be able to get it to let go and peel right at the interface.
