Spot vs Croaker

Does anyone have pictures of small croakers next to spot?

I did but I am looking for a picture of both right next to each other. My fishing partner doesnt believe me when I tell him which is which.

I prefer to fight a croaker and eat a spot..Most people I know love to eat croakies more..

 

They're both in the same family as drums & whiting (kingfish).

None that I have ever seen in the 30 years fishing the bay & coast..but I do catch an occassional spot that does croak..

Every drum has at least one spot on their tail...from babies to big ones!

Sometimes the little nub where the pectoral fin sticks out can be a bit raised and sometimes darker, but there's not a "spot" on the surface of the skin.
