Machias area

Anyone ever fish this area. My family has a place up by lincoln maine and was thinking of taking a drive down there to fish for stripers, wasnt sure if the run that far north though. Any info would be greatly appreciated, not looking to spot burn just looking to see if it will be worth my while to take the trip

Very unlikely that you will find anything in Machias except great blueberry pie at Helen's. This area has been striper free once again. You are more likely to find stripers in the Bangor area than anywhere else this far up.

 

If you are in Lincoln, you are in the cradle of some of the best smallmouth fishing in the country. Try fishing the Penobscot from Lincoln to Howland...

bangor for stripers but as was said smallmouth heaven in penobscott. From lincoln was there yesterday and would have usually caught some smallies but had to take care of fathers funeral arangments. What lake is it on some good foshing there?
