Stone IPA ?

I bought a case last weekend for a crab party.

The first couple I drank were in a huggie.

Once the feast started drank out of chilled glasses. Thats when I noticed the suspended smegma.

It is in the bottom of every bottle, waiting. Born on date is 6/18/10.

Is this normal for Stone? A six pack gave me a bad hangover. headscratch.gif

negative,

never had floaties with stone.

blech,

I got a 14th aniversary from them and it's cloudy with stuff on the bottom,

I am assuming (hoping) it's bottle conditioned.

otherwise it's a round trip and going back.

Just got back from my beer guy. He popped open another case with the same born on date and it looked exactly the same.

I told him the flavor was inconsistent from bottle to bottle.

He gave me a $25.00 discount on a case of Dale's AND told me to keep the Stone. I don't want it.

I'll go back tomorrow, his day off, and give the remainder to his employee. icon14.gif

Stone has been VERY consistent in quality for me.

I had some bad Great Divide, and would never buy anything else from them.

I gave some Chunky Victory to KoQ once, similar story, wasn't old, just bad.

Inconsistency and impurities turned me off to micro brews a long time ago. Nothing worse than having 4 beers and feeling like you had 20 the next day. Maybe it's better now although there are clearly still exceptions. Just gimme a Heineken and be done with it. It taste the same every time. Nice and skunky, but I like it.

You want me to talk to Kaiser?

Steve:

Sorry about this.

Our beer filter went down recently and we packaged this one batch without filtration. It was clear when we packaged it, we thought it would be OK, but the protein in the beer turned into flakes later. Call this a learning experience for us. Normally this doesn't happen, and it won't happen again.

The beer should taste just fine, just not look as brilliant as usual.

Let us know if you'd like a replacement. If so, please send a mailing address.

Thanks for the note,

Mitch Steele
