I have a bunch of D.A.M. quick German reels of various sizes. MY question is

can you put braid like PP on these reels? Thanks in advance.

Hello Firedog. I have a Dam Quick Finessa S70 German spinning reel. I had bought 19 years ago. I changed bail roller with titanium roller and added one ball bearing. I put 8 lb Berkley Fireline Crystal 2 years ago. Never had any problems. Has a longer throw distance.

Which models? If they're older like the "N" series, then original fireline is probably the least problematic. My main plugging reel is a Quick 441N with 14 lb. fireline and my light plugging reel is a quick 331N with 10 lb. fireline. Respectable distance is achieveable with these 35 year old reels and a decent rod. Perhaps not as far as a modern long cast spinning reel with true braid, but respectable none-the-less. With original fireline, wind knots are extremely rare. Can't remember the last time I got one. Maybe two or three years ago.

I have all sizes..I tried fireline on one and didnt like it..might have been me. I

just like braid better..and was wondering if it would work..before I spent

time and money. Would like to know how to upgrade roller as well to make it

more braid friendly. They are N series and some non N .Thanks
