Fishing for blues with braid?

The blues are in, how do you guys set up your rigs for fishing for blues with braid, when chunking.

On my mono setups its easy, just attach a wire leader fish finder rig and call it a day.

But how do I set it up on my reels with braid?

I'm lazy, so I just use a heavy (60# leader) mono rig rather than wire. They've managed to survive decent sized blues, sand sharks, etc, and significantly easier to deal with than wire in my experience.

when fishing bait, there is a much better chance the blue will take the hook deeper, teeth will be on the line, and a dcent blue will saw through 50 pretty easily.

I have had an awful lot of bite-offs when fishing with a braid to swivel to fluourocarbon leader. I think they are hitting the swivel. I have had a little more luck on head boats with no swivel and just a much heavier bite leader.

Braid to swivel-80# mono leader, benefit:you can tie knots with 80# mono.

Braid to swivel-125# mono leader, simple crimp.Benefit:no blue or succesion of blues will cut thru it,easy to handle.

Both leader lenghts 18-24".
